I understand rituals not as hierarchical and inaccessible compilation of rules to include some and exclude others, as (settler) religions like Abrahamic religions or Hinduism often ordain. Rather I understand rituals simply as routine and repetitive showing up for relations we care about. In this sense, rituals can help strengthen relationships of trust and reciprocity with human and unhuman beings/matterspirits, spacetimes around us by rooting us in their specific rhythms. Rituals also help us define new accountable orientations and alignments with our more-than-human communities, thus creating openings for unsettling magick and developing responsible skills of witchcrafts.
Ceremonies help us mark, honour and make spacetime for feeling thankful for our relationships with unhuman beings/matterspirits and other human beings within our more-than-human communities. Both rituals and ceremonies are ways of remembering and solidifying our magickal-political commitments as unsettler peoples.
I seek to receive and conduct rituals and ceremonies for various occasions including births, deaths, endings, beginnings, connecting with family, pets, and loved ones who have passed on, changing seasons, and fulfilled manifestations to hold spacetime for both grief and pain, celebration and joy. These services are available for both groups and individuals. If you are looking to co-create a ritual or ceremony for yourself or your community with me, please do get in touch directly via email with Subject Line: “Rituals & Ceremonies.” I shall then set up a 20 minute video call at a mutually agreeable time to discuss your needs and expectations, along with the details of what I could offer to you and/or your community.
Performing rituals and ceremonies is deeply emotional-physical work and highly exhausting. We appreciate it when this emotional-physical labour is recognised and respected:)
TESTIMONIALS
The experience of participating in De-Murder Nature, Re:Mother Nature, a renewal ritual for unsettling witchcrafts was special and enriching. daayan conducted the ritual with ultimate care and creativity. This collective happening was transcendental, playful, communal and personal. We found out new things about ourselves while connecting to one another and discovering things about us as a group. I would love to take part in other iterations of this ritual again and would recommend it to anyone with a curious soul who is passionate about nurturing and reconnecting with the nature.

diane held our ritualistic space with such gentle power, and with a beautiful playfulness that allowed me to tap into my child self, into an explorative and curious state about my journey of celebration, memory & pain. diane does such precious activist work for a decolonizing & queer magic methodology. It was an honour to be a part of this process.
